Dear Life,

You are very expensive.

I know you have to make your money one way or another, but maybe you could spread it out over a few months. You may not have meant to do it, but you arranged for my brake pads to be replaced after I bought an instant camera (so maybe I shouldn’t have done that, but you can’t have all the fun!)– also Eric’s birthday is this month. Why couldn’t you have waited until after the holidays?

I also wanted to discuss this whole 24 hours in a day with you. I am traveling to work, working and traveling home from work for roughly 10 hours a day. Dinner takes about an hour to make and eat and I’ve been writing after to dinner to compensate for all of the expenses you’ve thrown my way. Once all of this is done, I don’t have any time to do anything for me. Most of the time I have to sacrifice sleep in order to finish my homework. I have this book I’ve been wanting to finish reading. It’s called The Year of Living Biblically: one man’s humble journey to follow the Bible as literally as possible. It’s by A.J. Jacobs. Have you heard of it?  If you could add just two more hours to the average day, I could read, exercise and even paint without losing anymore. Would you please consider it? If it’s a no-go, could you at least send me some better tips on time-management?

You are not off the hook Life… there are few other issues I need you to deal with. You’ll be hearing from me again soon.

Bitter Regards,

L

P.S. Where’s my bowl of cherries?
