I’ve been wanting a digital SLR for quite some time now. It’s bound to enhance my scrapbooking endeavors as well as my blog. Not to mention, maybe there is a secret photographer inside of me that’s just dying to take some sweet artsy photographs. Unfortunately, there are times when I get very caught up in shopping the moment and don’t think of how many things I’ve purchased and how many dollars have added up and what I could have had. To remind myself I have made a short photo documentary of the things I now own instead of a digital camera. Maybe next time I will restrain myself so that I can bring some sweet pictures to my blog. (Unlike these pictures taken with my iPhone. Though, I once heard that the iPhone is the best camera…not because of the quality, but because you always carry it with you!) On the bright side I did stop myself from buying a $60 ring that I would have only worn through the holidays. I’m going to put that in my camera account. hehe
And now…the things I currently own instead of an SLR
Cole Haan black leather flats, Orange Cole Haan Bag, Lucky Earrings
Cole Haan suede [waterproof!] boots, BellezaPro flat iron
Cole Haan patent leather open-toe heels
Not pictured: Butter London nail polish in Mariner, 2 Recessionista Tees, 1 long-sleeve burnout tee, one floral green scarf, one off-white scarf, 5 Golden Rings, four calling birds, three …
Next shopping spree will include ONE digital SLR…I hope.
Happy Shopping!
Happy Saving!

Molly,
An Digital SLR (short for single-reflex lens) is the type of camera you see photographers using. The benefits of using an SLR over a regular point and shoot digital camera are:
- Larger image sensors meaning better image quality
- Speed. You can shoot a bunch of pictures one right after the other.
-You can change the lens on a digital SLR camera to achieve different effects
I would be the proud owner of an SLR if I hadn’t purchased all of these other gifts for myself!
