“The real world” is different than college, You are responsible for your own future, and always have a backup plan.

Love the “life lessons you wish you had learned” answer, mostly because I really wish college had taught me something about the real world and/or given me a back-up plan. Five weeks out and I am feeling VERY lost.

It really is a hard lesson when you learn the real world is different from college. When I graduated (in 2003!) I expected a job to just fall into my lap, like the way things tend to happen in college.
